I'm proud to announce that March's "Best Poem" winner is Pseudomuse, for her excellent poem "m.a.l.a.i.s.e."
Congrats!

OK, well, we only have one winner but the title is a formality.

Or maybe holiday-themed poem? That way it encompasses everyone.

Hey, that is a good idea, but I'm kind fo ahving trouble with the Best Critique so I'll start that out next month. ScarletMornings--Producer of Brainchildren (mua-ha-ha-ha, sinister.)

OOH! What if I made a Best Critique of the Month award where the nominaters put down the username of the critiquer, the part of their critique that they liked and why they liked it? Do you think that would be a good idea?

I went ahead and made the "Most Dedicated" board.

Or perhaps best critiquer? Yeaah, I really like the most dedicated idea. most helpful would be kind of hard, unless you mean kind of like most helpful critiquer?

Hey, that's a pretty awesome idea. I think I'll use it, it'd have to be a one-time or maybe annual award, though.

Yeah, I seem to remember we had that once, didn't Confusion win it? Should I do another one?

Yeah, I guess I deleted that one too, oops. So, this is the board where you can post suggestions for any award ideas you have.

Looks like I've won April's Best Poem contest for "She'll Never be a Pretty Woman," and I find it very awkward to be posting this.

I know how much you probably hate to read long intros (and how much I hate writing them), so here are the winners: Best Poem--June: ScarletMornings "It's Not Like You" Most Improvement: Confusion
I'm sorry about not having a winner for Best Short Story, but no one nominated anyone else, and I didn't want the decision to be based solely on what I liked. *I accidentally deleted the original thread, so I went back and copied it so that's why it's all recent and whatnot, I thought it'd be cool to leave the winners up each month, like Archives and whatnot.
**Maybe next time I'll put the nomination links on there, too, but, alas, this time they were lost.
***I just now realized that I said 'whatnot' twice in that first little blurb. I'm eccentric.

That's OK, I often misread strange stuff, too. The other day I was looking at an article that was headlined "Poe's last Days" and I thought it said "Pope's Last Days" and I was reading it and wondering why it was talking about Edgar Allan Poe so much. And one time my friend was looking at an article headlined "Rabies Death Explained" and she thought it read "Rabbi's Death Explained." It was funny.
