Seriously, it seems that there are more and more posts, but all people expect are comments rather than actually commenting on work themselves! (That's a major tongue twister...) Basically--EVERYONE, start COMMENTING on work!

Say you read it and you think, I'd really rather not comment.
Is that not fine? As long as you find something you WOULD like to comment on, it's all good, right?
People all seem ready to say "Comment, everyone, comment!" But being the natural hypocrites that they are, they don't actually go and do any commenting themselves, beyond the day they demand everybody to start doing it.
If it's going to happen, I think you should start it up. Comment other people's work, and they'll help you out. It's a natural reaction.
Or, maybe people should go over what they write and decide whether, if they were the general public, they would enjoy reading it and going ahead with comments.
In other words, make some of the stuff on here more interesting, more fun to read.
Or not even fun, but at least... intriguing.
It's not directed at anyone in particular. It's just that people should take the time to come up with something original, or at the very least introspective.
But that's just what I think.

If you do notice, I did not point fingers. I also said in my other post about lack of comments that I am also guilty. There are definitely not as many comments as there were when I first joined. Secondly, if the thing you read is boring, can't you comment that? Say it nicely like, "This could be more interesting" or "I didn't really enjoy this". Were writers! We need to get used to critisism. It just bugs me that no one comments on a site that is supposed to help us write.

i dont htink ppl should coomment just to comment... but if ppl take the time to read some more poems on the site they WILL find things to comment on and that will keep the board alive..

well, i comment all the time. check the poetry page. but no one really comments on my stuff that much. i don't know, and you can tell how many people looked at it. like one poem i REALLY, REALLY wanted some comments on was looked at like thirteen times, and i'm the only one who even posted a reply to it, and that was to ask questions about what people thought of it! i don't know, i do reply a lot, but no one else seems to that much. i do think people should comment more.
