YAY! I got his latest book, Cell, and I'm almost done with it. It's delightfully violent so far. just thought I'd share my elation with the world.

yeah, it's amazing that he's written so many novels and short stories and they're all so great.

Cell is actually good? I didn't want to buy it, because I think he's been losing his touch. But if you say it's good...I may have to go out and buy it. Is it just violent, or do they have good characters and character development?
Most of the Stephen King books I've read have been good. But the ones that he wrote recently I just haven't been pleased with. 'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon' is just kind of a blah book. There's no point to it, and no good character development. I mean, there's some, but nothing really GREAT.

Yeah, Cell is pretty good, actually, I was hesitating to get it, too, because it seemed so stupid in the beginning. But my mom has almost every Stephen King book ever and she had to buy it, so she read it and now I am. I love how he uses everyday objects and tries to make you afraid of them. The book is kind of odd in places because you just keep thinking that it's not really happening and that's it's just a character's hallucination or something along those lines. But I think the surrealism was done on purpose.
Yeah, but The Girl Who loved Tom Gordon wasn't very recent, was it? I thought it was pointless, also, but every author has to have bad work. I actually like his short stories, have you read "The Skeleton Crew?"
