I'm taking advantage of the non-writing part of this forum to ask if anyone here shares my love *coughobsession, reallycough* of musical theatre and Broadway.
What is your favorite musical/opera/play/etc? Have you performed in anything? Do you prefer acting, singing, tech, dance, or what? Speak to me!

I don't play or sing or anything..... But i like to go to opera. Sad enought It is quite expensive, and I am just a poor student. But sometimes I go with my parents. The last two opera's I've seen where Macbeth and Hamlet. Both where in a kinda modern setting, with a really sober background and dressing. It was beautiful. If I have to choose something I prefer, I guess it would be modern and experimental.... and then it could be opera, a play, music anything.....

The one opera I'm obsessed with is a new pop opera called Bare (the lyrics in my sig are from Bare). It was on Off-Broadway for awhile, but then died because of money problems *sob*

I'm deaf, but I do prefer acting. I've performed in 1 amateur school play, and 1 professional children's play (Sadly, though, I didn't get paid. Moneygrubbing bastard-whores.)

I want to act so badly. Our tiny school as no extra curricular activities, or else I would take drama.

I love acting, especially theater. Movies have never seemed as impressive to me because theater creates a magic that movies seem to never produce. Musicals--hm... I wrote a thread about this. Sometimes, I love them. Other times, when it makes no sense at all to break into song, I don't like them. I loved the Broadway version of "Lion King". It was incredible.

I love theatre (or, to make you happy, ~*~gEnKi-ChAn~*~, theatER---haha), even though I'm not very good at acting. Every year in my school there is a middle school drama; last year I played 2 minor roles, and this year I joined in as backstage. I enjoy both theatre and books, but they are somewhat different. They both tell a tale, but in theatre, you hear, you see, you sometimes even smell and touch. In books, you read and see in your mind freely. I can't say which I like better--- I love both!

weeell. The only plays I've ever seen were the foreigner(freakin hilarious), heaven can wait, fiddler on the roof, and oliver, not counting like school plays. i would love to be an actress, (though i'm leaning towards author), and i am good, without bragging. hehe. i've acted in everything at my school, and i'm gettin ready to try out at one of the local theaters in oklahoma. i also want to try shakespeare in the park (oklahoma version). unfortunately, there's not just a ton of operas in oklahoma, though i would LOOOOVE to go.
