She is Sitting on a tricycle Standing on the sidewalk Blinking with eyes full of question and wonder Curly locks of hair falling on Her forehead So young and bright
She is Sitting on a bike Standing in the street Blinking with eyes full of happiness and joy Bleached locks of hair falling on Her forehead So glad and free
She is Sitting in a car Standing in the deep Blinking with eyes full of laughter and daring And dyed locks of hair falling on Her forehead So adventuresome and prepared
She is Sitting up in the bed Standing with a walker Blinking with eyes full of fatigue and knowledge And white locks of hair falling on Her forehead Staring out the window Seeing a long forgotten child Sitting on a tricycle The old woman stares And… Smiles

I like the end. Age is wonderful when the years preceeding it are filled with love and happy memories. It is rather poignant. *thumbs up*

I admire this piece for a few reasons. A. It's offbeat, and unclished. That's hard to come by now'a'days. B. It's well written, and that always helps. ^_^
