So I've had this desert fixation since, I dunno, hmmm...about four or so months ago and I thought I'd write something about it. It was also inspired by this gorgeous girl I saw on the bus ride home yesterday who I've never noticed before, 'cause if I had seen her before it would have damn well registered. Any constructive criticism is appreciated. ----- your eyes plainstone brown so why is it they stand out?
because they are eyes like omens of good things to come stories of deserts are told in the golden fleck of your irises
brown-eyed girl why do you smile? peering at me from underneath chestnut-colored lashes skin freckled with whispers of Cleopatra
brown-skinned girl what do you say? with a voice that tells of acoustic guitars played with sandweathered fingers and hair sunstreaked Egyptian brown
brown-haired girl will you take my hand? I’ll get off where you do and we’ll walk along the miles of sand stretched out in front of us never noticing the way the ground curves
and you can tell me stories of cactus flowers and stargirls

Oooh very pretty description. It hits home for me because I've been seeing a lot of people like that in movies and books and shows and real life lately. There was the Eurasian girl in Song of Susannah, and then Chitza in Chocolat, and yeah. It's just a very vivid image that doesn't just remind people of that particular...type...of brownskinned person, but all girls who look so plain with brown everything but manage to make it look exotic and sweet.
That's about as much as my wrists can take.
