Kelsey thought back to the beginning of the year. Her sweetie, Edward, had surprised her with a prom request. Edward had done it all old school with a hand written note. It was slipped in between the pages of her algebra book and read, "Will you go to prom with me? I'll Dance you forever." Kelsey smiled and wrote back with an underlined "Yes."
The day had finally come.
Kelsey spent hours combing the malls in search of the perfect outfit. When she finally found the long Victorian gown with a tulip skirt, she sighed in relief. And to think, it only cost 9,234 dollars. She also found an awesome pair of matching shoes.
Kelsey decided to do her own hair and makeup. She wanted to look like old Hollywood glamour so she wore her hair stick straight. She applied lots of black eyeliner along with pink lipstick to complete the look. She was ready.
And so the night began...
When Edward arrived, Kelsey was searching for her keys. Edward waited in the living room with her parents and the dog. "You are as cute as a newborn baby panda!" Kelsey heard her mom say.
When Kelsey saw Edward, she stepped back a little. Edward looked hot in a tie without a jacket. Kelsey's parents ushered them into the bedroom to take pictures. They held hands and smiled big. Her parents took dozens of pictures from every angle.
They rushed through good-byes. "Have fun!" Her parents said.
Finally, they escaped...
At dinner, Kelsey checked out the other couples. Edward had rented a stretch limo and it totally outshined everyone else.
When they arrived at the site, Mr. Eifling was greeting everyone with the principal. There were rumors that the two had a secret romance going on, but no one knew for sure. They made a cute couple, despite the inherent creepiness of the situation.
The music was bumping and the dance floor full of people. Kelsey was excited. Her favorite band, Mary J. Blige, was on stage. Everyone was doing the cha-cha-cha, but Edward didn't know how. Kelsey ended up laughing with her friend Crystal while Edward disappeared.
It was going to be a long night...
Kelsey decided to go look for Edward. The last dance was about to begin and she didn't want to miss it. Edward was sitting in the parking lot, waiting for her. The car was decorated with shaving cream and confetti. It said "Kelsey, I love you" on the windshield.
Kelsey was so Excited she screamed out loud. Just then, the music came on for the last dance. It was faint but audible. The two held each other and swayed back and forth. The parking lot was dimly lit and they felt like the only two people in the world.
