dedicated to ms. sara a. rowe. (my bestest buddy ever!) if you don't get it, i won't be surprised. ah, well. here goes........
us.
we.
together.
memories flow through my mind.
good adventures we've had.
as we explored the north,
the rouge canadians we met.
oh, how i love mooses.
i hope the plane didn't hit it too hard.
then we traveled to the jewish country.
we learned to dance tradition.
the papas, and the mamas all circling round.
what a lovely dance.
as we traveled into forests unknown,
we met a bear ever so smokey.
how i loved the sap from the trees,
their delectable flavor.
irresistible.
and as we went to science labs
we combined a flavor unthinkable.
choconuggets ring a bell?
we traveled to prehistoric times.
the t-rexes there were fun.
alas, their short arms provided humor.
what trouble that started.
and then to ancient rome,
where a tiny toga and big hair brought joy.
so much laugher in rome.
again, fun times in africa.
that propaganda minister joe.
such a lively fellow.
the animals, so varied in color, made us so giddy,
they were tasty, too.
also to a magical world
where lands of ice caused freezerburns
and lions could talk
whether their mouth was open or not
next,
to a world under the surface
into the waters
where mermaids, Coral, swam
she performed a lovely dance.
the gavotette, as it was called.
then on to the west
where we tried our talents for singing.
cowgirls, it was.
cowgirls, we weren't and never will be.
into the sky, we flew,
and grabbed stars into our hands.
star sistas we were.
we will always be.
into an academic world,
where bibles were first spanish,
no, latin?
and whales were never mammals.
so many more, my love,
so many places we explored.
how i love it.
how i miss it.
