A beautiful day in September Would soon make us remember How to become a nation undivided And how to become a nation united Phones rang, tears were shed On this day inside my head We watched the news on the screen Only to view terrible things The day we know as nine-eleven Sent so many souls up to heaven And so we dialed 9-11 To save someone that we loved And now years later we are mourning For the souls taken that morning We dialed 9-11 for sometime We dialed for those who died So here’s to the heroes alive Or in the grave Here’s to the heroes still walking today And we take those numbers now To tell the stories of those who were around To save the lives of young and old These heroes were so bold We dialed 9-11 to say Save us from this dreadful day

OOh, I liked it. It was a bold message. I'm so happy that somebody actually used that topic to make a poem. Good job! *claps*

i like it, and i know such dreadful topics can be hard to capture in a poem but i think you did it brilliantly... except the 'we dialed 9-11' bits... i think it would be stronger without that, but that's just my opinion.
