Wanna know a secret
‘bout the Catholic girl next door?
I know you really want to,
So go ahead, implore.

So is it now you have to know,
An answer to your question?
What if I said I overheard,
During her last confession?

And now you just have to know,
About the girl with flawless braids,
The girl who’s always perfect,
Who always has good grades.

So now I’ll tell you ‘bout the girl,
A nightclub’s naughty dancer,
Ask a burning question,
And you’ll get a burning answer.

i like this! it's so brutally honest! obviously not all catholic girls are like this, however i know a couple who are a bit like this.... makes you wonder if they value their religion as much as they say!

I love this it is very blunt, and I like that. I especially love "ask a burning question, you'll get a burning answer" very nice bit of wording there. wonderful job.

this poem is lovely, one can read soo much into it and its value lies in that it contains a micro persepective with this conversation and with this catholic girl.. yet also a macro perspective concerning all manikinds urge to know things about eachother aaand how things are not always as they seem to be.. the rhythm of ur poem is great too btw..

Thank you both. Thw whole poem startesd with the phrase 'ask a burning question, get a burning answer," which I thought of in one of my half-asleep musings. I wasn't sure if it sounded good, though, because a lot of times the things I think of in my half-asleep musings are...hmm, far from genius, ha ha.
