You’re already sleeping (people really do look younger) that ebony lock of hair has fallen again across your brow just like in every romance I ever read in anticipation of you You’re my hero
But in the morning I'm going Greek I read a lot of those tragedies, anyways and I'm destined to be a heroine in Greek instead of in the romance novels
You know how they always say “things will look better in the morning”? I guess it’s true from you’re perspective I’ll be gone and though you never meant to hurt me it’s the nature of tragedies
And I can’t stand to hang around much longer seeing how much I love and how much you don’t though you offered the very next best my friend but I guess I want it all
But the dawn is the death of love unrequited the greatest tragedy of all and the gray dress of Aurora (she’s Greek) is the final curtain over my future
but I’ve got a little more time to play the romantic heroine so I’ll brush that lock of hair off you’re brow and press a kiss to your lips the romance is the heroine gave you her heart but the tragedy is in the morning I’ll be gone Good morning

I especially loved this stanza: "And I can’t stand to hang around much longer seeing how much I love and how much you don’t though you offered the very next best my friend but I guess I want it all" because it illustrates human nature so very well, always wanting more.

lol...i really loved your poem. It's very elegant and romatic... and this may seem kind of weird and crazy, but it reminds me or romeo and juliet....when he's leaving...for some reason it just reminds me sooo much of that. AwWwWw..confusion..y r u ill?
