It’s college now. The days of being accepted are over. These fraternities are taking over. They’re trying to pull everyone in to be one of them. They want to conform every peer they can. They want to take over the world. But there’s a catch. You have to survive their torture. The hazing has just become some game they use to amuse themselves. It’s a trick. It’s the catch.
You have to let hell swallow you and spit you back up.
Maybe that’s why Andrew felt so isolated. Sure, he had a dorm mate, but that didn’t mean they got along. It was the occasional “Hey, how you doing?” conversation that was said daily. Twice. It didn’t matter all that much. Maybe. Or maybe it killed him inside that he didn’t have anyone to talk to. All this anger was building up, and he had no way to vent. He tried writing away his worries, but it didn’t make the pain go away. The hurt always came back.
So he sliced each damn wrist, hoping no one would notice.
No one ever did.
He was the boy that blended into the shadows. His blonde hair was dyed black and his blue eyes faded to gray. The clothes he wore weren’t anything to take notice of—jeans and a t-shirt. Not so unique. Not so special.
Andrew—Andy—was the boy who you’d mistake for the wall, or the boy working in the music section at Target. He just didn’t fit.
His breath blew a strand of black out of his eyes. The black pieces diverted his attention from another world back to reality. He had to return to his book. Back to the place where he was wanted. The shadow of the tree rested over Andrew, letting only specks of the sun shine through. It didn’t bother him. Not in the least. It reminded him of her smile. She was broken inside, but the light was still found.
Turning the page, his mind drifted. Cut, bleed, repeat. It was a never ending cycle for him. They say you find yourself once you enter college—the adult world, but he was still a lost lonely boy. The world was around him, but he felt ever so isolated.
Maybe he should cave in, join the hazing fun. It couldn’t be that bad. Any nineteen-year-old boy could handle it, right?

Angel was a 19 yr old girl. she had beautiful shoulder length hair. She had green eyes, which were her most noticeable feature. She wore a pink tanktop, and a black skirt. She really didnt fit in with anybody, and dhe didnt really want to. But she wanted a friend, just some \one to talk to.. She looked around and sighed. "Another day." She told herself as she sat down on the opposite side of the tree Andrew was on.

His worn out eyes drifted around the campus. They didn't have clicks like high school--they had cults. They had people they called their "brothers" and "sisters". They were robots formulated into what Andy eyed as perfection.
Sometimes, he wanted to be those robots.
He flipped the page again, though he wasn't exactly reading. His mind was still in another world. In her world, mostly. Her eyes reminded him of the grass they sat on once on a picnic. Her hair like chocolate.
Maybe she was what made him who he was.

Angel rose up off the ground in which she was siiting. She started to head back to her dorm, but when she saw Andy sitting on the other side of the tree she decided she would atleast try to talk to him. Maybe he would talk to her...

Andy heard footsteps approaching. His head raised toward the figure. The sun blurred his vision as his eyes met the sky.
This is why they invented sunglasses.
Smiling politely, he said a small "hello". He just wanted to be polite.

Andy shrugged, "Go ahead. It's a free patch of grass." He smiled faintly, closing his book. Maybe she wanted something, or someone to talk to.
"I'm Andy."

((Do you mind if I join? If you do, tell me and I'll go away.||
There was another student outside on the day where the sun created dappled underneath the trees. A soft breeze swayed the short grass, resembling the ripples a stone made when you dropped it into water. The breeze also ruffled the dark brown hair of another nineteen year old girl. A novel was pressed to her, as were a notebook and pencil. She was the bookworm. The one who didn't seem to fit in but reveled in it. The one who kept a few close friends and discarded the popular ones.
Elizabeth was her name. Well, her first one anyway. Lizzy to her friends. But none of her friends were here. Not even Katherine had chosen the same college as her. So she and her friends had gone to their seperate schools, promising to get together on vacations and write and call each other.
She walked across the grass, her usual confident grin settled on her lips as always. Her jeans were a faded blue from wear, her shirt one from her karate dojo. Thankfully she had chosen a college that wasn't too far from her dojo, so she could still attend and help classes in her spare time.
She sighed, not seeing anywhere she could sit, or anyone that was sitting alone. She spotted Andy, recognizing him vaguely from passing him a few times. And the other girl. She wasn't sure of her name, but knew her face. They weren't too far away, but they seemed busy talking. She hovered by a near tree, wondering whether she should go and talk or not.

"It's nice to meet you Angel," he said, leaning his weight on the trunk of the tree. Trying to relax, he glanced around casually. His fingers ran over the yellow band around his wrist. LIVESTRONG was engraved into the rubber.
He spotted Elizabeth in the distance. Smiling faintly, he let his attention fall back on Angel. He always thought it was rude to not look at the person who your conversation was with, even if he avoided eyecontact.

"Its nice to meet you to." Angel said. She noticed his attention go else where. he's probably trying to come up with an excuse to leave.she thought to herself as she quickly took a look behind her. She noticed a brown haired girl sitting by a tree. Angel had noticed her before, but they never really talked..She then turned back to Andy and gave a small smile

"You at your first year?" he asked, figuring she may want conversation. It was always polite to give people what they wanted, especially when you yourself never got it.
He bit his bottom lip out of habit--he was always a nervous one.

"More or less," Andy said with a small smile. "Don't look so down, people here, their just in colts. The frats and shit, it's what seperates everyone. But some people don't need that."
He lifted his brows as he listened to himself. Easier said then followed.

"I guess your right. "She said smiling. As she thought about his words and looked around the campus ahe saw how everyone, well almost everyone, was in a cult.
