I think the lyrics fit the idea that you are going to make the songn slow and laid back.
You can really tell the narrator is apologetic.
you might want to add in a reasonfor the apology... but it's fine either way.

I think that it is a magnificent start, just go back and edit a tiny bit some flow stuff. But then again it might sound perfect as it is.
