suspense story

I have to write a suspense/horror story for my english class, and I'm stuck. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, do you know what you want to write it about? If not, you can't go wrong with the classic "I'm watching T.V. and it's dark and stormy and I keep hearing weird noises so I think I'll go check 'em out" plot. Well, you can go wrong, but it's hard...i'm not making sense.

I have to write a suspense story for my English class too! ...Weird. Well, actually its a "scary" story I have to write, but the two often go hand in hand in my opinion. I dont think you can go wrong with a freaky topic...like for instance, you work the late shift at a restaurant and all your co-workers have already headed home. You're alone in the restaurant when...-well, you can go off on a million ideas there. Someone could try to rob the vault with all the money in it, there could be a scary person right outside the window...watching you...something like that.
