here are some of my favorites, by the way i am a really really really big movie buff.
- Home at the End of the World (great movie, great pretense, with the ever wonderful colin farrell)
- Brotherhood of the Wolf (this is a fantastic french movie possibly the best movie ever made ever, and the dub is good, and the actors are hot.)
- Goodbye Lenin! (i love this movie, great acting and great plot, its in german but its worth reading the subtitles)
- The Notebook (i saw it in the theaters and by the end everyone was sobing, fantastic movie)
- Hart's War (another colin farrell movie, but fantastic none the less, great script fantastic plot, everyone should see this movie)
- Mallrats (Kevin Smith is a genius)
- Dogma (Kevin Smith is a comic genius as well, i love this movie, and this is why Alan Rickman is one of my all time favorite actors, great script, great idea, great everything, watch it sometime)
- From Hell (My favorite Johnny Depp movie next to Chocolat, Ian Holm is also fantastic, its Jack the Ripper All Over Again, worth seeing)
- Secret Window (well yeah, who can resist Johnny Depp with bedhead, the entire time watching this me and my friend molly were yelling at the screen, great movie, even better to see with friends, and John Tuturo gives the performance of his life--or atleast i think so)
- Good Will Hunting (all around good cast, i could watch this over and over and over again)
- Phonebooth (can you tell...im hopelessly in love with colin farrell, but kiefer sutherland with the creepy voice was cool too, i really enjoyed this movie, its great suspense too)
- Full Metal Jacket (if you into war movies this is a must see, its fantastic, and it shows a side of vietnam not really portrayed to the public that much, and you cant resist the mickey mouse club either)
- Tigerland (another vietnam war era film, worth seeing, but has lots of adult content, but good nonetheless)
- Good Morning Vietnam (Robin Williams is great in this, i have always loved this movie, its a riot and funny as well as deep.)
- The Italian Job (both the new one and the old one with michael caine, both worth while action flicks)
- Soloman and Gaenor (this movie was very very well done, its in welsh, english and jewish but fantasic, it made me cry)
- The League of Extraordinary Gentelmen (I love the comic and the movie was very well written)
- King Arthur (I love this movie, I'm a big arthurian legend freak, and i love how they took the legend smashed it with a sledgehammer and took a more historical look on it, Keira is fantastic as always as well as Clive Owen and Ioan Grufford.)
- Daniel Deronda (i really liked this movie, its historical and based off of George Eliot's book but it still is worth seeing over and over again...plus Hugh Dancy and Jamie Bamber are in it)
- Willow (one of my all time favorites...peck)
- Don't Tempt Me (one of my favorite foreign films...its in french, spanish and english, very good, and penelope cruz does a great job. Plus she dances around to Kung Fu Fighting...hehheh)
- El Mariachi, Desperado, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico (Robert Rodriguez' trilogy is a masterpiece)
- Finding Forester (a must see!!! i adore this movie as well as its soundtrack)
- Trainspotting (HellYA! this is a great movie, as well as a great book...irvine welsh is amazing-hes the author, check it out if you haven't already)
- Shrek and Shrek 2 (how can you not love them)
- Finding Nemo (the first words out my me and my pal robert's mouth when we saw this in the theaters after the baracuda was "and this is supossed to be a kids movie")
- Dirty Dancing (i heart Patrick Swayze)
- Dirty Dancing 2 (this was also worth my time to watch)
- Donnie Darko (great thriller, jake gyllenhaal is fantastic in the leading role)
- What Dreams May Come ("After life there is more. The end is just the beginning. " great movie. with robin williams, cuba gooding jr, annabella sciorra)
