PersephoneDreamswhat are these sordidlies fhat you pester me with (the) offering of gold and tamarind flowers don’t squelch my need to run wildly into the abyss which holds me half the year for once I was content in innocence I’m not so sure of that anymore
[/i] innocent in you innocent of all things that happen To Love, to Us
[/i] what are these helplessedicts that you throw in my face (the) offering of peace and tranquility is a lying goat and it doesn’t squelch my need to run back to springtime and the hearth which holds me half the year which my mother covets and you hate I’m not so sure of her anymore
[/i] not sure of you not sure of all things that happen To Love, to Us
[/i] are truly real even though I want to feel their tendertouch so take me Darkness and covet me while my mother watches so you’ll know the anamnesis when it takes hold

thank you guys. If you hadn't notice I've been writing a lot of stuff lately pertaining to the greeks and greek myth. so to answer the big question, this poem is the reflection of my internal understanding of what Persephone thoughts were while being courted by Hades. Persephone was the daughter of Demeter and Zeus, who fell in love with Hades, the god of the underworld, and thereafter spent six months of the year on earth with her mother, the goddess of the hearth, and six months in the underworld. about interpreting poetry my feeling is that the beauty of poetry is that everyone interprets it differently due to its meaning to you, so on interpretation one can't really go wrong. if you guys have any more questions send me a line.
peace PM
