okay, i went ahead and commented on fictionpress also, but i'll tell you a little what i think here. i looove Imogene, she's got a rather funny sense of humore and you've set up the situation where any number of funny or interesting events can happen. I am very curious as to who our hero will be, so please update! if you have any questions about regency england, just send them to me via the personal message thingy on here. I will tell you what I know and hopefully it will help.

oh dear, i'm terrrrrible at things like this. but whatever you do, make sure you put a twist in this, because this is a very cliche topic. you should try and take it from another angle, maybe, just be careful with the cliche.

Other than the fact it seems like you repeat a few words at the beginning, i really like it. this is just my kind of story. i don't think it's abrupt, it's good the way it just plunges right into the story and it catches your attention. you have to focus or else you miss something, it seems like. great job so far. and maybe you could call it something like blood, or scarlet, or something reddish?

luckily i haven't experienced a big length of writer's block. it seems if i try hard enough i can control it and make it go away if it gets really bad. good luck to ya'll on yours!

just sitting down and thinking about my feelings or colors or emotions and then just writing with as much vividness and description as possible and just seeing what comes out. and music, other people's poems that i really love, and really good books relax me and can help get my train of thought going.

to me, it's also when i've got this overwhelming urge to write something and my feelings are just all there and the mood is there for a poem, but i can't find the words or the topic or the vision to write it! UGH! i hate it!! i'm kinda going through it right now.

I think writer's block is. . . when I'm mentally blocked, I guess. When I'm not in the mood to write, or can't think of what to put next, or I just lose interest with what I'm writing, maybe.
